Domaine Pinchinat is located at the foot of the “Sainte Victoire” mountain, 25 kilometers east of Aix-en-Provence. The domain has been family owned for more than two centuries. Its location, at an altitude of about 280m, and the soil, which consists of a mix of clay and lime, allows for quality viticulture. And you taste that.
Fruity, wonderfully long aftertaste, fresh. Beautiful light pink in color.
De Grote Hamersma: “On summery days, according to the zeitgeist, people drink melancholy peasant prosecco, sip contentedly soft fruity Weissburgunder or blossom-scented Grüner Veltliner, fortunately more and more often cooled light red and otherwise unimaginatively a rosé. It has been said that rosé wine is for people who cannot choose between red and white, but luckily there is also real rosé. Rosé with character. All too often, the southern French pink lellebel, touted as tar-snared, turns out to be an anemic pale nose with a bouquet of lukewarm lemonade. This one, however, delights the heart. Organically grown fruity grenache, peppery syrah, smooth cinsault and even some genteel mourvèdre, plus a splash of burgundy grape cabernet sauvignon for extra distinction and the wafty spicy white grape rolle work in unison to create a rosé to be reverent to say the least.”
